In April 2025, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) officially launched the European Union Vulnerability Database (EUVD).
EUVD is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening cybersecurity resilience across the EU. Developed under the NIS2 Directive and the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), the EUVD is designed to provide a centralized, consistent and enriched database of vulnerability intel tailored for European organizations.
What Is the EUVD?
The EUVD aggregates data from multiple trusted sources, including:
- CVE and NVD entries
- National CSIRT advisories
- Vendor patch and mitigation guidance
- Exploitation status indicators (e.g., evidence of exploitation in the wild.)
Each vulnerability is assigned a unique EUVD identifier (e.g., EUVD-2025-21128) and includes detailed metadata such as severity scores, affected products, exploitation characteristics, and remediation steps. The platform offers three specialized views:
- Critical vulnerabilities requiring urgent attention
- Actively exploited flaws in real-world attacks
- EU CSIRT-coordinated vulnerabilities for national-level response [1]
